"Marina is a masterful interpreter and inspirational creator across many disciplines."

Marina expertly interpreted my music and lyrics and illustrated thoughtful and detailed artwork to showcase my song lyrics. Marina is a dream in any collaboration; she is full of ideas but also very open to other people’s ideas and taking feedback. Sensitive to a deeper meaning behind art, Marina is a masterful interpreter and inspirational creator across many disciplines. Being able to understand both visual and verbal art worlds is a unique skill Marina possesses, with experience in illustration, creative writing, photography/videography and graphic design.

I am a highly creative and personable illustrator with extensive experience in visual storytelling, digital design, and multidisciplinary creative projects. I specialise in developing engaging illustrations for books, websites, album artwork, editorial content, and branding materials that connect with diverse audiences and communicate ideas with clarity and impact. I have a proven track record of producing high-quality visual content from concept through to final delivery, combining a strong artistic vision with excellent attention to detail.

I excel at transforming complex concepts, narratives, and messages into compelling visual stories that inspire engagement and emotional connection. I am passionate about using illustration as a powerful tool for communication, creating artwork that is both visually striking and meaningful. By combining traditional artistic techniques with modern digital design practices, I produce distinctive and memorable creative solutions.

My expertise includes using classical techniques such as watercolour, pastel and acrylic through hand-drawn digital artwork, mixed-media design, and expressive visual storytelling. As a multidisciplinary artist driven by social and ecological justice, I work across digital and traditional mediums to capture and reflect the beauty, complexities of the human experience and the living earth.

I have extensive experience collaborating with a variety of clients, such as authors, musicians, social and climate justice groups and creative teams to develop bespoke illustrations that align with project goals while maintaining artistic integrity. As a versatile creative professional, I thrive on bringing ideas to life through imaginative, thoughtful, and impactful design that fosters connection, understanding, and positive change.

Throne

I illustrated digital drawing by hand for the lyric book Throne published September 2025, inspired by Daisy Chute's songs. These songs (illustrations and lyrics) are part of Chute’s upcoming album Throne. In the book you’ll also find lyrics for three bonus songs from Chute’s Cradle Songs EP.

Illustrations for justice

I also work as a grassroots organiser and climate justice researcher, my creativity often becomes a vessel for campaigns and investigative research, translating messages, narratives and visions into visuals that move people beyond words.

In 2022-23, I illustrated web materials for the Cloudberry Collective (a network I am part of since 2021):

My comrades requested drawings representing our collective work translated into everyday moments of organising, thinking and communicating, often across our different homes around the world. The connection all links us to Sápmi, the Indigenous Sámi people’s land, as that’s the groups main focus.

Cats and dogs appear both in this mini-series of our online meetings and in the illustration above, as we all have fellow friends who loves joining our networking.

All the illustrations translate connection, groundings to those who came before us and to our guiding stars; connections to the land and beyond, to each other as part of the living earth and future visions.

Logos

I hand drew the motif of the cloudberry pant for the logo of the Cloudberry Collective, which I designed together with a comrade.

I also illustrated and designed the logo for Skogsupproret, a grassroots organisation I worked with in 2021-22. Follow their work at www.skogsupproret.se
